Whether you are exploring the geo sciences, or you just want to find out if you felt that last quake, this app will keep you up to date with the latest Earthquake information. This latest edition brings new features and updates to this modern classic. Earthquake 3D allows you to modify the way they are featured. Started in 2003 as a desktop application, it has become a widely adopted standard for video presentations and visualizations of Earthquake information. Earthquake 3D is an application that allows you to visualize the main tremors produced all over the planet in a 3D world map.

This edition of Earthquake 3D represents a third generation of this very popular computer program. This database (updated periodically) is built-in to Earthquake 3D and is available even when you are off-line. The Atlas database shows over 4000 years of Historic Earthquake information. In addition to providing several 'live' sources of current Earthquake information, an Atlas database is also included. Filter Earthquakes by magnitude and age with slider controls. Uses "point and drag" to position and spin the Earth. Can import up to four external Earth images that are supplied by the user. Earthquake details include Local Maps, Local News, and Advanced Seismic Information. Tap on individual indicator 'flags' to show details for each Earthquake.

Individual quake indicator 'flags' that show magnitude or depth. Waves can read MiniSEED, PC-SUDS, and many other data formats, and can now locate earthquakes using 1D velocity models Download free using the links below. Current worldwide Volcano activity display. Data from USGS, European EMSC, British Geological Survey, and New Zealand Geonet. Includes 4000+ years of Historic Earthquake information. Control Speed, Decay, and Sound of Earthquake sequencer loops. A Sequencer that shows Earthquakes as they occurred using animation loops. Solid and wire frame 3D views with transparent Earth ability. Eight different Earth display types that include population and tectonic plate maps. Go where no seismogram has gone before with a fascinating and mesmerizing look at the world's Earthquakes. Earthquake 3D uses animated graphics to show you the "big picture" and visualize large amounts of Earthquake data quickly and easily. Waves 4.2 refined the location feature by giving you more control over mapping and station response data sources.Zoom and spin your way around the world with this fully immersive 3D Earthquake display app. It also introduced uploading of solutions to an eqServer database and saving the solution to a text file with added earthquake information.

The 4.2.1 update fixed a bug in the PDF report for displacement plots, and trims files saved to as SEG-2 to the first whole second. Waves 4.1 introduced PDF report generation for blast and vibration monitoring applications, summarising 3D (ground motion) and 1D (microphone air pressure) data sets in time series, FFT frequency plots, and USBM RI8507 style amplitude/frequency zero-crossing plots. This update also improved the STA/LTA ratio simulation to help fine tune Gecko recorder triggering. Waves 4.0 finally brought multi-layer velocity model location algorithms from eqFocus into an interactive graphically interface that’s easy to use, and just as easy for students to understand when used as a teaching tool. It includes map-visualised solutions and a simple pointer-based controls to make data analysis fast and efficient.

Waves 3.6 introduced a great new feature – automatic IRIS DMC lookup and integration of station.xml data, stored locally on your computer for future use! New features include the ability to flip a channel’s polarity, and the high pass frequency for displacement calculation can be customised for magnitude calculation. Waves now also reads SEG-2 format, and we have refined the zoom and scroll controls and added more keyboard shortcuts for a more intuitive user experience. Waves 3.5 added right-click-scrolling to zoom, thumb/tilt wheel timeline scrolling, and some minor bug fixes to the new Trim feature, frequency and magnitude estimate displays. Waves 3.4 brought additional controls to the toolbar, spectrogram, and to your pointer. We also re-designed the setttings menu using tabs to make their functions and presentation clearer.
